Revival, Maturing Spirituality, Luncheons, a Party & More!

November 8, 2010

What a busy time it’s been at Holy Rosary/St. John during October and November, and we have more coming up this week and next!

Remember, Parish Council and Parish Life are Wednesday, November 10th (6 pm for Parish Council and 7 pm for Parish Life).

Thursday, November 11th at 10 am, Mark Huddy of the Columbus Diocese Office for Social Concerns will be presenting a Maturing Spirituality workshop on social justice.  The workshop will be at the Martin de Porres Center, but will be broadcast to several parishes in the Columbus area, and Holy Rosary/St. John is one of the parishes participating (thanks to a grant from The Catholic Foundation).  Join us in Campion Hall at 10 am for the presentation and then discussion after.  We’ll also have some healthy snacks!  Our final Maturing Spirituality workshop for 2010 will be on Thursday, December 2nd at 10 am, and will feature Sister Teresa Tuite.  These workshops are geared to those 50 and over, but really everyone is welcome.

The Black Catholic Ministries Revival starts this Sunday, November 14th at 4 pm, and goes through Wednesday, November 17th.  Christ the King is hosting the revival this year.

The seniors will be having lunch at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 16th at the Golden Corral.  Contact Irma at 252-5926, ext. 224 for details.  Thanks also to The Catholic Foundation for funds to support senior ministries.

Remember, our Development Committee meeting dates have changed, and are now the first Wednesday of every EVEN month.  The next one will be on Wednesday, December 1st at 6 pm.

The HRSJ Women’s Group is hosting a pancake breakfast on Sunday, December 12th from 11:15 am to 1:15 pm in the Community Kitchen. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

Finally, don’t forget we have our CHRISTMAS PARTY on Saturday, December 18th.  This is always a very fun event, and everyone is welcome!
