Upcoming Events at Holy Rosary-St. John

Upcoming events at Holy Rosary-St. John Church:

– Stations of the Cross during Lent on March 17th and March 31st at 6:30 pm at the church;

– Day of Eucharistic Adoration on Sunday, March 19th (Mass at 9:30 am; Eucharistic Adoration starts after Mass at approximately 10:30 am and is available until 5 pm);

– Holy Week activities will be at St. Dominic Church this year (next year at Holy Rosary-St. John) – see the church calendar at hrsjchurch.org/calendar for details);

– Palm Sunday (April 2) and Easter Sunday (April 9th) will both be at the usual time of 9:30 am;

– Easter Egg Hunt and activities for children and youth after Mass on April 9th in the St. John Community Center (640 S. Ohio Ave.);

– We’ll be having various gardens events in April and May to get the gardens around the church looking great; if you’d like to participate, contact us through our hrsj.org website;

– On June 4th, we’ll be celebrating Fr. Ramon Owera’s birthday and his 25 years as a priest; Mass at 9:30 am and reception after; go to our Eventbrite page at hrsjchurch.eventbrite.com to register for the reception;

– Also in June (probably June 25th, but details to follow), we’ll be having our Parish Picnic;

– In August, we’ll have our annual School Supplies Giveaway;

– On October 29th, we will be celebrating the 125th anniversary of St. John the Evangelist church; Mass at 9:30 am with Bishop Fernandes leading Mass, and reception after in Campion Hall in the St. John Community Center.

Everyone is welcome at the church. It is a very friendly parish.

And don’t forget the ongoing St. John Learning Center classes and events, including GED classes, business classes, health and mental health workshops, and parenting workshops. Classes are taught through partnerships with a wide range of other community organizations.
